We can’t imagine all of the thoughts and emotions you are feeling, but we do understand that wanting what is best for your child is, without a doubt, the most important decision for a parent.
Our Story

Our first meeting was 18 years ago while we were both working on a very busy maternity floor.  It was 3 months later that we saw each other again, began talking and realized that we had so much in common.  We both come from large, close-knit families with strong morals, we take pride in our professions, but most of all we enjoy life’s little moments (our drives down the shore, snow angels in the middle of a snowstorm, and little notes “just because”).  In 2004, we were married and our relationship in 17 years has never “aged”.  We still hold hands, say, “I love you” and always make time for ‘us’.  In the past 10 years, we have been blessed with 4 beautiful boys.  Each is truly unique in their own way but that is what makes our family dynamic so much more amazing…which has brought us to this decision.  For us, adoption is the opportunity to share our home, our hearts and ourselves with a very special child.

Family Life

Family has always been the most important part of our relationship.  Our children Jack (9), Benjamin (7), Timothy (5) & William (4) are very close and do everything together, regardless of their age.  They are very adventurous and their imaginations have made our house very interesting, to say the least.  We have a cat named Max who is 11-years-old,  but is as spry as a kitten!  He is very much like a guard dog…and protective over the boys!

Theresa’s parents, sister & brother live near and her other sister is in North Carolina.  Tom’s parents and two sisters reside in New York and another sister lives in Connecticut.  Between us there are eleven nephews and three nieces that we are able to spend time with, especially in the summers.  From the very beginning, our families blended effortlessly.  We celebrate holidays, birthday and special occasions (baptisms, communions) together and try to see each other as much as we can in between.

We are a very active family! We live in an amazing town with a great school system and plenty of parks & recreation activities for children of all ages.  Our town library has always been the foundation for all of our learning adventures!! We try to instill in our family the idea of living a healthy lifestyle.  The boys love all sports (football, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, basketball) and Tom assists with coaching as much as he can.  All of them are avid swimmers and we spend our summers at one of the two pools in our town.  Our family enjoys year round activities outdoors such as our summer vacations at the beach, pumpkin picking or sleigh riding in our backyard.   Theresa enjoys yoga, working out in our home gym and cooking- especially with the fresh herbs & vegetables from our garden.  We like to keep our weekends as low-key as possible with going to church & visiting our family.

Our house is something in which we take great pride.  There are photos everywhere to remind us of cherished family or adventures at the beach.  We love to decorate with the seasons/holidays (Easter & Christmas being favorites!)  Our oversized family room is great for watching movies, reading stories together or a Saturday night dance party!  Outside we have a large yard with a jungle gym, basketball court and plenty of room for “water Olympics”- (jumping through a sprinkler into a baby pool!).

We are very excited about this journey we have chosen for our family.  We look forward to welcoming a new addition to our bunch and all of the adventures that come with it!  We are completely open to communication through emails, letters & photos.  Having children of our own, we know how important it is to know the history of our family.  We hope this child too could learn about your family when the time comes.  We will also make sure that this child knows that your love and sacrifice was made with the best intentions in mind.  You will forever be a part of our family and our lives.

We are in awe of the courage you have to consider adoption and we hope that this glimpse into our lives will give you the comfort of knowing that there is a family waiting to love your child unconditionally.   Our children are incredible “little men” and have already planned many adventures to do with their new sibling.  We promise to not only provide a safe, stable home but to give this special child the opportunity to grow in a fun, loving, nurturing family.
