Our Story
Hello! Jason & Jaime here. Thank you so very much for taking the time to learn about us as you consider adoption as part of your journey. Jason works as the Director of customer service at a global company and Jaime is a stay at home mom to our happy and beautiful little girl, Mazie . Although only 4, Mazie talks a lot about adoption letting us know often that she CANNOT WAIT to show her younger sibling all the toys in her playroom! She is super stoked to share all her wisdom on both Bluey and Paw Patrol as well as share all her beach toys. Being parents already to our sweet girl makes us even more thrilled at the thought of expanding our family again.
We have been happily married for 7 years after finding each other at a local sports bar while watching our favorite football team-Go Birds! It was truly love at first sight! And when Jaime gets to watch Jason play babydolls in our playroom with Mazie, she falls in love a little more each time. Our home is one that is full of family, laughter, warmth and love. Our daughter is the light of our life and exploring the world with her is the greatest gift we have ever been given. If you choose us, we are ready to give your sweet baby all the snuggles, love and support for a happy and successful life.
Family Life
We lead with generosity and empathy in ways of our values. Nothing compares to feeding or clothing someone who doesn’t have enough, or understanding what one person is going through that you cannot see from the outside. There is certainly a great sense of fulfillment and joy from volunteering and helping those in our community and elsewhere.
We just love hosting our entire family at our house. We hold a huge Halloween party every year since living off Main Street the Halloween parade runs next to our house and let me tell you, it is just amazing, Mummers and all! We also have family dinners here at our home about twice a month where we all share fun stories and play games. It gives us a chance to check in with each other since everyone’s daily lives are so busy. We host Thanksgiving at our beach house every year as well as Christmas every other year. It is such a magical night at our house that Santa himself actually makes an appearance (Jaime’s dad) and gives the kids a special personalized ornament every year! The kids totally love it! It is truly so special to watch both the children and our parents open all the sentimental and fun gifts around the tree and have our whole family together.
We don’t practice any particular religion, but we are committed to raising our child with strong moral and ethical values. We’ll also encourage him/her to learn about different cultures and religions, be compassionate to others’ beliefs and make an informed choice on religion when they’re ready.
We recently lost our sweet beloved pup, Zia, she was an 11-year-old fuzzy snuggly labradoodle. She brought so much joy, love and laughter into our family and we miss her every day. She really was not just a pet but a part of our family. A new puppy is already on our daughter’s Christmas list, but I think Santa needs one more year before welcoming a new puppy into the family.
Lifestyle
We enjoy living in a small family-oriented suburb with award winning schools and two parks within walking distance. We’re also lucky enough to live just a block away from Main Street, where all of the festivals throughout the year take place. When we are not hosting our supportive family or our huge group of amazing friends in our home, we enjoy spending our time outdoors in our garden and exploring new places and restaurants. And we can’t forget visiting our daughter’s favorite family-owned toy store on Main Street, where they (fortunately or unfortunately) know her by name!
Adoption
We would love to learn about your desires for your baby, and welcome an open adoption with letters, photos & and visits at your comfort level. And if you’re not too sure what the future looks like and if one day your feelings change, that’s ok too! We are here to respect your boundaries. We cannot begin to understand the emotions that this process presents to you and we wish that in all of this, you find peace and comfort in your decision.
Diversity enriches our lives in countless ways… it brings a whole different viewpoint & experience than what we are used to. Something as small as the Spanish workbook that we have been working on with Mazie, to enjoying a Mexican cuisine every week. If placed with a baby that is not our race we plan on having respectful and open dialogue about their cultural background & identity. We would love to travel as a family to their country of origin when the baby gets a little older so we can appreciate their culture & learn new traditions to bring home with us.
Best Wishes
Mazie really wants you to know that her parents, Jason and Jaime, are pretty stinking cool. She said that sometimes they even let her go out and jump in muddy puddles while its raining before having the ultimate glow stick bath party (SO fun)! Although usually not a sneak, she has been sneaking and listening to her parents talk about how they are absolutely over the moon excited about adoption and hope that we can welcome both yourself and your sweet baby into our loving family. She said, it’s a HUGE bonus if the baby loves Paw Patrol and Bluey, because they are her ultimate favorites. Oh, and she said she hopes the baby loves the beach, since that is where we spend our summers. Mazie has already purchased new beach toys for “her baby” and can’t wait to gift them!
And if you read this much, thank you! All three of us cannot wait to meet you!
