My Story

Hi, my name is Jennifer, and thank you for taking the time to consider me to adopt your child.

I am a seventh-grade math teacher currently going into my 20th year as a teacher. I went to The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) to earn my Bachelor’s in Education and Mathematics.  I also went to Rider University to earn my Masters in Educational Leadership.

Ever since I was younger, I wanted to be a mom but have experienced years of infertility with no success.  My hope is to have the opportunity to provide a child with a loving and stable environment. I am hoping to start my family through adoption and create lifelong memories while raising a child to be an upstanding person. I want to create a household of unconditional love and support with my support system, consisting of my parents and close friends. Everyone is on board and excited for this journey! I know they will provide a child with much love, guidance, and encouragement.  My dog, Penny, can’t wait to welcome a little one into our home! I live in a suburban neighborhood close to the beach and near parks, recreational centers, and only a driving distance to New York or Philadelphia.

As my parents say, I am a loving, considerate, and conscientious person, and I hope that I can provide an upbringing to your child that will enhance their creativity, love of life, and kindness in the world. I pride myself on honesty, and I will always be upfront with your child about their upbringing and tell them how brave and courageous you were in the decision you are making.

Family Life

I have always wanted to be a mother. I have a very close relationship with my mom and love the concept of family. I have one dog, a bichon poodle named Penny, who is excellent with children. I want to be a mom, and what better way to give a child a home than through adoption?   I personally witnessed the bond between a grandmother and her grandchild, and I hope that my mom can experience this. I was extremely close to my grandmother and cherish all of the memories we made through the years. My grandmother was a very special person, and even though she is not with me Earthside anymore, she will always be a huge part of my life. My parents, Sharon and Dave, are extremely supportive and would be excellent grandparents. They would love any child that is placed in my home and put the needs of your child above their own. My extended family includes my aunt, uncle, and cousins, as well as my friends that I have had throughout life (new and old) and my work family.

Lifestyle

My home is located in a small, quiet, suburban neighborhood in New Jersey. It is in close proximity to schools, parks, and all community activities. Your child would grow up going on walks in our neighborhood or riding bikes as the child grows up with my dog, Penny, and the other neighborhood children.  I would want to create a childhood with exciting adventures and everyday experiences like playing on a swing set in the backyard. We are also close to the beach for beach/boardwalk visits and close to New York City and Philadelphia, as well. Life is about creating experiences with your children to leave them with memories forever. One of my favorite family traditions comes at Christmas. Ever since I was little, everyone in the family, including the dogs, would receive stockings. We have continued this throughout my life as I have gotten older. I can’t wait to give your child this experience and see their face light up at every little thing inside their stocking each year. Around the holidays, we also love to decorate for Christmas, make cookies, and drive around and look at Christmas lights. In the last few years, we have started to celebrate Christmas in July. Life should be surrounded by celebrations and accomplishments that help enrich the meaning of life. I hope to include your child in these activities to enrich their lives.

Adoption

I am hoping for a relationship that can grow throughout the years, if you want that type of communication. I want to be able to send you pictures, emails, or letters. I would like to meet you at the annual picnic. The degree of communication can be adjusted to make you feel comfortable. You will be welcomed into my family, if you would like that as well.

Best Wishes

Dear Expectant Mother,

Hi, my name is Jennifer. I am a seventh-grade math teacher who has always wanted to be a mother. First of all, thank you for reading my letter and considering me to raise your child as my own. There are no words that can express the deep respect I have for your selfless decision to consider me to parent your child. You are making my dream of motherhood become a reality. Thank you for trusting me and for the gift of this incredible child, whom I will love unconditionally. I would be extremely honored to parent your child and give them experiences in life to enrich their curiosity, determination, and love for others. Please know that your child will be cherished beyond measure with unconditional love. I will celebrate little and big milestones, persevere through challenges, and we will live in a home filled with love, laughter, and warmth.

I am grateful that if you choose me, you will be part of my family, and I will communicate the truth with your child and always speak of you with the utmost respect. If you choose me as a mother to your child, I can promise you that I will protect, educate, and provide opportunities for them to become a loving, educated, and thoughtful adult. I value diversity, honesty, and kindness, and I can promise that I will do my best to provide opportunities and experiences that they will be able to cherish for a lifetime. I hope you will allow me the opportunity to raise your child as my own.

With gratitude and love, Jen.
