Family Life

Our family life is built around spending time together. Some of our favorite moments are the simple ones like sharing meals, taking evening walks, celebrating birthdays, or laughing over a game of cards.

Our home is always full of activity. Every week, Alexis’ family joins us for homemade Italian dinners (or summer BBQs), where there’s always great food, plenty of stories, and lots of laughter. We also enjoy board games with Brittany, summer days at the Jersey Shore, and visiting Alexis’ extended family in Greece every few years to celebrate her Greek heritage.

As parents, we hope to raise a child who feels safe, supported, and unconditionally loved. While we aren’t involved in a traditional religion, we plan to teach the values of kindness, compassion, gratitude, and respect while encouraging curiosity, independence, and a love of learning.

We’re excited to create new traditions as our family grows; from bedtime stories and holiday celebrations to school projects, weekend adventures, and cheering from the sidelines. Above all, we hope our child always knows they are deeply loved and that home is a place where they can always belong.

Lifestyle

We enjoy a life that’s active, hands-on, and centered around spending time together. Whether we’re working on a home project, taking an evening walk, playing cards with family, or relaxing at home, we love making the most of everyday moments.

Our home is a gathering place for family and friends. We enjoy hosting holidays, birthdays, backyard cookouts, and casual get-togethers, and we hope our child grows up in a home where everyone feels welcome.

We also love to travel. Summers are often spent at the Jersey Shore, winters usually include a trip somewhere warm, and every few years we visit Alexis’ extended family in Greece. These trips give us the chance to relax, explore, and stay connected to our family’s heritage.

We live on a quiet, family-friendly street in New Jersey, within walking distance of a park, restaurants, and an elementary school. Most of our family and many close friends live nearby, creating a strong support system and a community where children can grow up surrounded by people who care about them.

Whether we’re exploring somewhere new or enjoying a quiet evening at home, we’re excited to share life’s everyday adventures with a child and create memories together.

Adoption

Your child will always know their adoption story with honesty and pride. They will grow up knowing they are deeply loved, and we will always speak about you with kindness, gratitude, and respect. We want them to understand the love and thoughtfulness behind your decision and to know that every part of their story matters.

If their heritage is different from our own, we’ll embrace those traditions as part of our family’s life through celebrations, books, food, community, and everyday experiences so your child always knows their culture is something to cherish, never leave behind.
